SketchPoint 4 – Gauklerbrunnen

Probably the most famous fountain in the city

As a modernist symbol, the “Juggler” is both fascinating and melancholic: Aware of his deliberate yet precarious existence on the margins of society, he holds up a mirror to it with his sleight-of-hand tricks and poetically and elegantly challenges fact-based perceptions of the world. In this sense, he stands as a representative of the arts, which reflect on society and its values, challenge conventional perceptions, and reveal new perspectives. The artist Max Örtli, creator of this fountain, would certainly have been delighted by your drawing of it.
