SYMPOSIUM
Program
Here in St. Gallen, we all agree: our bratwurst has so much flavor of its own that it’s traditionally enjoyed without mustard. Accordingly, this year we’ll be offering you a rich symposium that needs no extra seasoning. With a program that focuses on drawing together and personal exchange and requires no additional workshops.
Opening Ceremony: First, arrive in St. Gallen and, over a sausage or vegetable skewer with a roll, dive into the three days of the symposium together with the other participants.
SketchWalks: Gallus, Otmar, Vadian, and Wiborada will take you on 4 SketchWalks and show you the highlights of the city of St. Gallen. This includes an interesting bay window tour through the old town.
SketchPoints: There are 17 SketchPoints scattered throughout the SketchWalks—all worth discovering and inviting you to draw together.
Drink & Draw: Drinking, chatting, and extending the group drawing session into the night as the mood strikes—there’s plenty of that in St. Gallen, too.
Public SketchCrawl: The SketchCrawl on Saturday afternoon is open to everyone and concludes with the symposium’s traditional group photo.
Closing Ceremony: We’ll wrap up the gathering together with a closing reception, an exhibition of your sketchbooks, and the announcement of the next symposium.
Just a reminder: As a memento of the meeting, all participants will receive a book featuring your sketches from St. Gallen. Let it be a surprise.

Host
The venue for our symposium is located right in the heart of St. Gallen 2026. The «Waaghaus» is a 10-minute walk from the main train station. The Marktplatz/Bohl bus stop is right next door, making the venue the perfect starting point for all SketchWalks. In just a few minutes’ walk, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the old town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from.
Gallery
The seven Swiss symposia held so far have been a great success. Here you’ll find all the information you need and can look back on past symposia. Just visit the galleries from previous events. We’re excited to add a colorful new chapter to this success story from Eastern Switzerland.
