Since 2012 Julia paints exclusively in watercolor, combining the classical school with her own exclusive methods. She is inspired by trips to the fishing villages and the largest port cities of the world. Julia has begun her most famous series of watercolors "Islands in the Stream", dedicated to the play of light and colour on the water surface and to the structure and configuration of the ships, boats and yachts. She paints evocative images of hundreds of port cities where she has been to. Since 2020 Julia has started sailing and went on expeditions to the high latitudes of the Arctic and Antarctic. Beginning in 2016 Julia became an ambassador of the Royal Talens brand. She is constantly holding different workshops, demo classes and presentations in Italy, Switzerland, France, Holland, Cyprus, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Portugal and many more. Through these workshops she is trying to raise awareness of watercolor techniques, the importance of the right tools and personal
style.

This workshop is all about the captivating sensation when a touch of watercolor paint of varying
saturation and hue transforms into something greater on the paper! After progressing through the
watercolor technique from easy to challenging, creating their own seascapes, students of Julia's
workshop will be able to observe watercolor seascapes with a precise understanding of HOW it was
done.
The main themes of this class will revolve around capturing the best representation of water,
conveying the spirit of the port, and mastering all the nuances of watercolor paint. Most importantly,
you will learn to paint water effectively outdoors during your travels and plein air sessions.
This workshop will specifically focus on marine imagery – textured fishing boats, sailing vessels in action, waves crashing against coastal rocks, the serene waters of smaller bays, and yachts in the marina.

- Paints: Regular watercolor set with a plastic or a metallic palette
- Paper: Sketchbook with watercolor paper
- Watercolour pans or watercolour tubes with Watercolour palette or both
- Brushes: Round pointed synthetic brushes
- Mechanical pencil, eraser, water container, napkins
