We explore the exciting port area in the «Dreiländereck» through drawings and paintings. The industrial site is a testimony to Basel's cosmopolitanism and working world. The rugged architecture and impressive harbour cranes do not follow classic aesthetic conventions, but inspire with their functional beauty. In the workshop, we will explore working techniques for grasping complex spatial structures, approaching the subject experimentally and analytically. We will address perspective phenomena, block formation, abstraction and rhythmisation, as well as tonal and colourful realisations.
