Translating Light

In this workshop we’ll paint beautiful Basel using ink and watercolor. I’ll teach you my approach to architectural sketching using light and shadows to reveal the forms and volume of buildings. Rather than capturing an image, or drawing a simple outline of what we see, we will translate light and emotion onto our page. I’ll show you how to loosen up your sketches, use expressive colors, and leave something for the viewer’s imagination.
