Can I put my name on a waiting list if the symposium is fully booked?
For organizational and technical reasons, we are unfortunately unable to maintain a waiting list. If places become available, they will be offered through the registration system again. Please inform yourself on this website about the current status. On Facebook and Instagram we will also inform you about free passes.

Which payment methods can I use for booking?
You can use Visa and Mastercard credit cards. If your credit card is not issued by a Swiss institution, please make sure that your credit card is not disabled for purchases abroad. If you are in Switzerland, you can also use a Postfinance card or Twint.

The workshop I wanted was already fully booked when I registered. Now the workshop I actually wanted is available again. Can I swap workshops?
Please contact us at ticket@usk-switzerland.ch and let us know which workshop you have booked and which one you would like to attend. We cannot guarantee that you can swap, but we will try to help you.

I bought a pass with 2 (or 3) workshops and I don't have a workshop on Thursday. Can I arrive on Friday?
We strongly recommend that you arrive on Thursday morning, so that you can check in without hurries, attend the opening meeting (where we will communicate important information) and the opening aperitif (where we will meet each other and will surely have fun :-). It also makes organization much easier if everyone checks in on Thursday. Nevertheless, those who cannot arrive on Thursday will be able to check in early on Friday.

Why are you offering more 4 workshop-passes than passes with 2 and 3 Workshops?
We made a survey after the Symposium in Bern and roughly half of the people who took part preferred to attend 4 workshops. Besides, offering more passes with less workshops would mean increasing the number of participants, which would be a big challenge, given our limited resources.

The workshop I wanted was already booked. Can I exchange workshops with another participant?
We don’t have anything against it, but please be aware that we won’t be able to keep track of the changes and update our records. The workshop instructor still will get the name and information of the person who originally booked the workshop. Please inform the instructor of the change at the beginning of the workshop.

Can I get something to drink or eat at the Schule für Gestaltung?
Yes, the mensa at the Schule für Gestaltung offers snacks, a lunch meal and softdrinks. It closes at 5pm on thursday and 3.30pm on friday, therefore no dinner is possible at the Schule für Gestaltung. Please note: the mensa at the Schule für Gestaltung is closed on Saturday.

Can I book a dinner on Thursday or Friday?
Unfortunately, the restaurant of the Hochschule für Gestaltung is closed in the evening and we do not have the resources to organize dinner for so many people in an external restaurant. If you need information, please ask at the information desk during the symposium and we will be happy to recommend restaurants in Basel.

Which materials should I bring for my workshops?
For a list of materials, see the description of the workshops you will attend on our website. If there is no recommendation, you can simply use your preferred materials.
