Brindarica Bose

Brindarica Bose, lives in Switzerland, and works part time as an art teacher in Migros Klubschule and as a publications manager in an association. Originally coming from India, she loves to spice up her drawings with intense colours. Her favourite medium is watercolours. She takes along her pen and paper in snow, sea and sand. Brindarica prefers working in a ‘loose style’ and doesn’t bother much about perfection. As a working mum, she loves to paint spontaneously, and is often seen ‘speed sketching’ outdoors, when it is a bit sunny.

Colours of Basel

This workshop will focus on how you can grab the essence of a place with colours. We will use watercolours, pens, mixed media tools as per preference (brushpens, colour pencils, neocolours, etc.). Focusing more on ‘macro-management’ rather than ‘micro-management’, there will be step by step exercises like—speed sketching, colouring with a limited palette, which will urge you to work more instinctively. Before the workshop, all registered participants shall receive preparatory information.

Material:
Watercolours, wasserfest/permanent black ink pen, sketchbook or loose papers (preferably 300 gsm), hardboard (to keep your paper on), a sitting stool and cap, water container and brushes (flat, medium, small); few colour pencils, brushpens, any other material that you would like to use.
