Let’s slow down

In this workshop we will be painting and drawing at the Botanical Garden. My aim with this workshop is for us to find a space to slow down, take our time and carefully observe our surroundings, before putting tools to paper. Why go quickly? We will explore which subjects can help us tell a story. Through exercising our brushes and drawing tools, we can loosen up and begin to free our minds. We will be focusing together on simplifying forms, value, light and colour. We will be using watercolor and pens, color pencils crayons, and the tools you prefer to make lines.

Material:
  • Watercolors
  • Sketchbook or loose paper (at least 250 g/m2)
  • Brushes (3 different sizes)
  • Pencils
  • Pens, e.g. fine liner, ballpoint pen, felt pen, stylographic pen with water-soluble or waterproof ink
  • Colour pencils
  • … and bring also your other favorite tools
